It’s the wonderful month of LOVE and if you don’t know what February 14th is you’re either single or in BIG trouble! Valentine’s Day is less than a week away and we wanted to know how people would be spending it in a few great locations to be in during late winter.

Scottsdale, Arizona & Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia, U.S.A.:

In the US, whether in the warm weather of Scottsdale or the cold in Snowshoe Mountain, most girls will be receiving flowers and chocolates at the very least.

In Scottsdale, people don’t get crazy and give cacti – yes, this is the desert but no, we’re not crazy. We will still expect roses on this wonderful day and a big box of locally made See’s Candies chocolates to match. Just like other cities, we’ll be out to eat and there will probably be a ring hidden in someone’s dessert.

Snowshoe Mountain is a lot colder than Scottsdale so there will probably be a considerable amount of cuddling by fires and gazing romantically out at the snow … and roses and candy.

Aruba:

There will be a lot less clothing worn throughout the day in our Aruban location as the beautiful beaches and warm weather makes a great place to go and spend a romantic Valentine’s weekend while getting a tan. People will participate in all sorts of couple’s activities throughout the day from off-roading with Green Zebra Adventures or going snorkeling and scuba diving.

Tip for those romantic men out there: Put the ring inside a shell that you "find" while snorkeling (Just make sure to watch out for barracudas! They love shiny things!)

Los Cabos & Puerto Vallarta, Mexico:

In Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, Día de San Valentin, is the same holiday as we have in the US but it's more commonly referred to as El Día del Amor y la Amistad, the "day of love and friendship." People commonly give flowers, candies and balloons to their romantic partners, but it's also a day to show appreciation for friends.

What is the same across the board -- If you want to go out for dinner you need to have made your reservations way in advance because everyone takes this holiday seriously!

While flowers and candy are nice, doing things with our Valentines is special too. So, if you’re visiting any of these locations, grab your girl (or guy) and hop over to Green Zebra Adventures or Wild Canyon Adventures in Los Cabos for a romantic activity you won’t forget!
